Yoga Teacher Training

The University of Maryland Center for Integrative Medicine’s Healing Pathways Yoga Teacher Training is designed to prepare health care professionals to use yoga as an integrative tool in the health care profession. This unique training gives special attention to the health benefits of yoga while providing a thorough explanation of postures, yoga philosophy, meditation, toning and chanting. In addition, current research in the medical field is included in the course material, showing the current trends in the field of healing yoga.

As health care professionals, the risk of burnout and compassion fatigue is great. This particular yoga includes proven tools for self-care including Reiki, journaling, and group support through social media and mentoring.

The Reiki training portion of the class guides our students toward a heightened sense of the energy system and gives them potent tools for teaching, creating a healing class space, leading meditations, and enhancing one’s personal practice. All Yoga teachers will graduate, not only yoga teachers, but also as Reiki Masters. Reiki masters can provide Reiki treatments as well as teach Reiki to others.

Schedule

 All classes start promptly at 6:00 and run till 9:00, unless noted* 

Class begins - September 26th 

October 3^rd, 10^th, 17^th, 24^th, 31st 

All Day Reiki Level I – October 19th  

November 7^th, 14^th, 21^st, *25th 

All Day Reiki – November 2nd   

Change to Monday, November 25th for Thanksgiving 

December 5^th, 12^th, 19^th, 

January 2nd, 9^th, 16^th. 23. 30th 

All-day Advanced Reiki Training – Saturday, January 25th 

February 6^th, 13^th, 20^th, 27th 

Reiki Masters Training – Friday February 21st and Saturday February 22^nd
(Additional $50.00 for course materials) 

March 6^th, 13^th, 20^th, 27th 

April 3^rd, 10^th, 17^th 24th 

May 1^st, 8th 

*Intensive Retreat – May 17th and 18^th (Additional fee of ($150.00) 

Cost of Training

UMM students, faculty, staff and Healing Pathways graduates will have priority for the 20 spots available.
