UM SOM: Integrative Medicine
Healthcare Professional Development
The Center for Integrative Medicine recognizes the importance of training and supporting investigators in various stages of their careers in order to develop a cadre of well-trained complementary and integrative medicine investigators. To date this effort has had seven fellows (four MDs, one DDS, one PhD and a graduate student) over the past six years. Participants have helped develop the complementary and integrative medicine education curriculum, received training in and participated in systematic reviews, and assisted with basic science studies and clinical trials.
The program has four separate initiatives. These include:
- Junior faculty support;
- Postdoctoral fellowship;
- Graduate student program; and,
- Senior Faculty Fellows program, bringing in visiting senior faculty to work with our team.
