Cochrane CAM Field journal columns

The Cochrane CAM Field publishes Cochrane columns in the CAM journals Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine and Explore. The Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine column provides Summary of Findings tables and Plain Language Summaries of CAM-related Cochrane Reviews. The Explore column provides commentaries on CAM-related Cochrane reviews. A further description of each of these columns is provided below, together with links to the full-text PDFs of the columns published to date.

CAM Field Cochrane Summary of Findings columns in Altern Ther Health Med

Beginning with the July/August 2009 issue of the journal Altern Ther Health Med, the CAM Field launched a column to highlight for CAM researchers and clinicians some of the recent Summaries of Findings tables and Plain Language Summaries of CAM-related Cochrane reviews. CAM Field Cochrane review commentary column in Explore (previously published in Altern Ther Health Med)

The CAM Field also coordinates the preparation of a column, published in the CAM journal Explore (initially published in Altern Ther Health Med), which provides a commentary of CAM-related Cochrane reviews. Each Explore column typically includes the reproduction of the abstract of a relevant CAM-related Cochrane review, followed by a commentary on the review. This column is designed to promote an awareness of the Cochrane Collaboration and to improve the understanding of randomized trial and systematic review methodology among CAM practitioners and researchers.
