Your gift can transform research in collaboration with world class experts at the University of Maryland. Research topics include acupuncture for patients with traumatic brain injury and for patients in hospice care, and the role that mindfulness-based stress reduction, nutrition and traditional Chinese medicine can play in helping to relieve symptoms of conditions such as osteoarthritis, chronic pain, inflammation, cancer and inflammatory bowel disorders.

Your gift can transform clinical care by expanding integrative medical treatment options for patients of the Greenebaum Cancer Center, the Heart Center, Kernan Rehabilitation Hospital, and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. You can help expand outpatient programs on yoga, mindfulness-based stress reduction, Tai Chi, QiGong, and food and nutrition. Or, support the Patient Assistance Fund to offset the cost of integrative therapies for low-income patients who can benefit from integrative treatments.

Your gift can transform education by redefining what it means to practice medicine, through courses that offer evidence-based knowledge alongside a mind-body-spirit approach to caring for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, as well as encouraging prevention and wellness for our patients. Distinguished Lectures and Conferences will attract scientists and physicians nationally and internationally to discuss topics such as Integrative Pain Management, holistic solutions for obesity in adults and children, and medicine for the “whole person.” Endowed Professorships will serve as an enduring legacy for the donor and their family, and make a lasting impact by attracting and retaining the best and brightest faculty leaders, pioneering physicians and clinicians.
